E.L. Ranch began its operations over fifty years ago as a family owned cattle and cow-calf operation.  The original ranch of 3,500 acres was purchased by Edgar Linkenhoger, a honorary Texas Ranger, and his wife Lillie.  It has grown to a 16,000 acre enterprise owned and managed by Steven, Lee and Mark Stockseth, Edgar and Lillie's grandsons.
